The place for diving in the Maldives

We are a PADI dive center located on Dhonfanu, Baa Atoll, Maldives, next to Hanifaru Bay. Dhonfanu is a local island with spectacular dive sites around the island, including a manta cleaning station and a turtle point just 150 m from the beach. Hanifaru Bay can be reached by our dive dhoni in 5 minutes. However, we also go to dive sites up to 70 minutes away.

We can provide accomodation for our guests in our own guesthouse, Fehi Velaa Stay.

Our dive center is just 80 m from the small harbour of the island. From Dhonfanu we reach Hanifaru Bay in less than 5 minutes with our Dhoni and we are very well placed for all the beautiful dive sites in this area.

Our dhoni offers enough room for 12 divers, but we only go with a maximum of 8 divers to make sure everyone has plenty of space. On the roof we have a large sun deck. The dhoni is equipped with a toilet.

Most dive sites are reached within 20 minutes, but some dive sites are around 40 minutes away. Sometimes we combine diving at more remote dive sites with a trip to the atoll capital Eydhafushi, which is always a welcome change.

On request, we also offer full-day excursions, which are especially interesting outside the manta season. For example, on good days in winter you can go diving and snorkelling with manta rays in Raa Atoll.

Equipment Rental

We have all new rental equipment in many sizes. However, we recommend that you inform us prior your arrival, if you will need some equipment.

How You Get Here

Arrival is always via Male airport. From the international arrival, walk the short distance to the domestic airport. From there you will fly to Dharavandhoo, which is only 116 km (72 mi) away as the crow flies. Of course we will pick you up at the airport and then it is only a 10 minute speedboat ride to our island.

I am a dive instructor (PADI) and I am an authorised guide for biosphere reserve Hanifaru Bay, with more than 3,000 dives in Baa Atoll alone. My most favorite dive site is Dhonfanu Thila. I speak Dhivehi and English.
